Portraits

This is a picture of Gabi Giovannetti throwing leaves up in the air at one of the Hidden Lakes baseball fields. We were here because it was an open space with good lighting. I tried to communicate happiness through nature. Edits I used were contrast, clarity, and whites.
This is candid picture of Gabi at Stranwood elementary. We were here because our friend Sophie lives close by. I tried to communicate how industrialized people have become through the use of the camera as a prop. Edits I used were clarity, shadows, contrast and blacks.
This is a picture of Sophie at Stranwood Elementary. We were here because she lives very close to it and there was good lighting there. I tried to communicate happiness through her facial expression. Edits I used were whites, clarity, and contrast.
This is a candid photo of Gabi and Sophie at Stranwood Elementary. We were here because Sophie lives close to the school and there was good lighting. I tried to communicate happiness through friendship. Edits I used were contrast, whites, shadows and clarity.

Lines

This is a photo of a bottlebrush flower in my backyard. I liked this picture because of how the macro-imaging captured the little lines of the flower. Your eye moved diagonal from the plant stem to the whites of the pollen. Edits I used were clarity, contrast, vignetting, and whites.
This is a photo of my glass front door. This is in my top four because I liked how the little intricacies formed lines within the glass frame. Your eye moves up the bold vertical line and side ways along the bold horizontal line. Edits I used were exposure, contrast, clarity and blacks.
This photo was taken at UC Davis. I liked it because of how the trees form a natural border. Your eye moves up the tree branches. Edits I used were exposure, clarity, blacks and shadows.
This is a picture of a plant hanging from a palm tree. I liked this photo because of the macro imaging caught the little lines of the plant. Your eye moves from top to bottom down the base of the plant. I used vignette, clarity, shadows, contrast and whites.
